Our Trust is predominantly focussed on supporting nature, however we’re concerned about the cost of living crisis as we approach winter and as such, our minds are turning to those who are struggling to provide for their families.
Thankfully, food banks play a crucial role in providing emergency supplies to those in need, however they rely on donations and currently really need extra support.
We’ve chosen to contribute to our local service, the Meon Valley Food Bank. They support a number of families each week across an area surrounding the Meon Valley district and our funding will provide additional help starting from autumn this year, through until spring 2023.
There are many food banks across the UK and they’ll all be in much need of support this year. They accept groceries, but the best way to help is to donate money so they can purchase exactly what they need. To find out which items they accept and how to donate to your local food bank, take a look at The Trussell Trust
