In recent years the Trust has focused its support on community based projects that make a real difference to people’s lives in and around the county of Hampshire. Both James and Amelia, the Trustees, have always lived in Hampshire and giving support locally to projects within the community is important to them.

Community support

The Winchester Beacon

The James Tuttiett Charitable Trust has supported The Winchester Beacon (formerly known as the Winchester Churches Nightshelter) to help deliver their services to people experiencing homelessness since the Trust’s inception in 2011. Support has included general financial donations to enable the team to deliver their services, as well as ad hoc contributions at times of particular constraint such as through the pandemic and at Christmas.

The Murray Parish Trust

The Murray Parish Trust supports children’s emergency services across the South of England by raising money and awareness to support projects at key trauma centres, to enable pioneering research and provide life-saving equipment. In June 2016 they launched ‘2MillionSteps’, a nationwide appeal…

Winchester Hospice

The Trust was pleased to make a donation and provide match funding to assist with the renovation of Burrell House in Winchester, to become Winchester Hospice – a palliative care home providing compassionate and specialist care.
